• Signed up on BlogCatalog

Not sure why I'm still awake. Perhaps I'm slightly manic. I signed up on BlogCatalog to see if I can squeeze out a few more readers. My profile is still listed as pending, but I added a couple of their widgets, including a rating widget. Let's see if it helps. I'm not sure if I have the energy to put into making a Myspace page to help promote my blog. Google searches are my bread and butter. Blogging with Google's Blogger puts me right up there at the top in searches most of the time.

• Taking apart the Shimano Callisto

I've typed up a post on taking apart one side of the Shimano Callisto baitcaster. I won't publish the post until I get some of the other upcoming posts out of the way. Later on, I'll probably use this reel as the basis for a post on simple reel maintenance.

• Updated Pflueger Summit Review

I updated my review of the Pflueger Summit WLP baitcaster. I made some minor revisions and did some rewording in a few sections. I noticed I hadn't written in the weights of either reel. I also added more about my experience with the reel since the original review was written. A lot of recent visits have been people looking for this review, so I figured I should spruce it up a bit.

• Upcoming Posts 12-07

I've written up my notes for upcoming blog posts on Zoom brush hogs and the BPS neoprene gloves as well as a short list of tips. I haven't decided if the tips are going to be individual posts or all in one post. I also received an XTools weigh scale for Christmas, but seeing as how I may be going to Baltimore, MD in the near future, using it on any fish won't be happening any time soon. I also haven't spooled any of the P-Line CXX 8lb test line on my Prolite yet. That review will also have to wait. I'm also going to dig a little and find out when I won the FOL2002 software and include the date in the review as I feel it is relevant and important if the developer updates the software.

Some other topics I'm thinking about writing on include dead sticking, Quantum Hot Sauce, lure retrieval options, baitcaster maintenance, specifically minor oiling, and one way to tune a crankbait.

The purpose of this blog is to provide status updates for readers of my blog i am a bass fisherman at bassfishingdem.blogspot.com. This will allow readers to subscribe and keep up with any changes to my blog and to assist readers who may be watching for updates to reviews or older posts. I will have a Feedburner feed up shortly, so sit tight. Hopefully this added feature will be helpful for my readers and perhaps convince a few more to subscribe.

I'll also be able to change my Notes from the Author section to a feed of this blog and make things a little easier on me.

As always, let me know what you think.
